Since I moved to Canada from Thailand, I am falling more and more in love with online shopping, as it’s proving to be so much more convenient than driving to the store with a baby in a stroller.
Not only does it save me time and energy, but I also get to sit comfortably on my cosy couch while the baby’s sleeping. Not to mention that I can also easily interrupt my shopping to attend to my baby’s needs, and then come back to it when I have a minute to do so.
And as we all know, moms start to shop for themselves but always end up buying stuff for their kids.
Sounds familiar, right?
And if you’re anything like me, you’ll need to buy a last-minute toy for the birthday invitation that you find in your kid’s backpack, toys and craft supplies to keep the little hands busy and creative, educational toys to teach your kids how the world functions, and the list goes on.
Buying gifts never ends!
So, the best would be to sit on your cosy couch and benefit from the luxury of shopping online.
Here are a few sites that I like to refer to when I need to buy toys.
I’ll start with my most obvious, first go-to online shopping site, because it has almost everything that a busy mom needs, right? And with a Prime account your life magically becomes so much simpler.
As a quick glance, here are some links that could simplify your search for toys:
- Arts and crafts
- Baby and toddler toys
- Building toys
- Dolls and accessories
- Costumes and accessories
- Educational toys
- Party supplies
If you need to shop from a store that is focused on arts and crafts, this is your place to go. The site offers you the chance to not only buy paint and colouring material (for kids, and for adults as well), but it also provides free colouring pages in additional to different toys and activities sold by the brand.
3. Educational toys
For this, you can choose from two great options:
Discount School Supplies
or Learning Resources.
They are both equally rich in the material that they supply, which is very educative and great for offering as a gift on a birthday (which I usually would appreciate better than noisy toys). I suggest that you have a look at both sites to find what you need – between the two you can pretty much find most relevant educational toys.
4. Famous characters
If you’re looking to impress your little ones with the latest famous characters, the best go-to places would be their creators: the Disney Store!
5. Online department stores
If you’re shopping for other stuff and you’d like to get your toys at the same time, you can refer to Best Buy (which is a Canadian store mainly known for its electronics but that also happens to sell toys in addition to baby stuff).
So there you go!
I hope this list helps you find what you need – and that it will save you time, energy and patience.
