Benjakiti Park is one of the nicest parks I’ve seen in Bangkok. Located at Asok in the centre of Bangkok, this is one of the parks that any visitor to Bangkok must see.
The major attraction of this park is the huge lake that is right in the centre. The lake is surrounded on all sides by flowers, bushes and trees that make it an ideal location for those who enjoy taking nice pictures (it’s great for family shots!). In addition, a walkway stretches for 2 kilometres around the lake, making it a great destination for runners and bikers who can enjoy their sports without being disturbed by a walking crowd.
The quietness of the park and the pathway around the lake make it a preferred park for those who like to escape the crowd at Lumphini Park. Among the different attractions that Benjakiti Park offers for kids, I can count the pedal-powered swan boats, the stretch of grassy slopes that are ideal for picnics, the playgrounds and the skateboard ramp. Although Lumphini Park may seem a more suitable option for young kids, as it offers them a wider range of activities in a much bigger park, Benjakiti is a great option for families looking to spend some quality time in natural surroundings.
