Have you ever met a mom whose life was so great you were just full-on envious?
Well, I have….
I met this mom who has the life that you can only dream of. She has three kids, and during the daytime when they are at school, she absolutely gets to do what any mom can hope for.
That’s what makes her so fabulous.
So, pushed by the curiosity to find out her secret, I asked her if she could describe to me what her days look like, so I can learn how to lead a similarly fabulous life.
And she agreed!
So, as a thoughtful mom, I am sharing her secret with you too, so we can all benefit from the joy of becoming fabulous moms as well.
Here is what her fabulous day looks like…
This mom wakes up at 5:00 am each morning and takes the time to wash and hydrate her face with three different types of creams because… You know, she needs to look and feel fabulous.
She then she goes on to prepare breakfast for her family, because she woke up early and she has the time to do so. Besides, she wants to make sure that her kids eat healthy and nutritious food (and nothing beats mom’s home cooking).
After breakfast, her kids go to their rooms to get ready to leave the house. They are all capable of dressing themselves. These kids are fabulous just like their mom (it’s probably in the genes or something).
After dropping her kids off at school, this mom, who is already in her yoga pants, hits the gym. From her story, it was obvious that she is a habitué of this gym, as she seemed to know every staff member.
She explained to me that she spends about 1.5 hours each day working out. I have to say that I do believe her as I see a daily selfie that she likes to post on her social media to remind the whole world how fabulous she is (she doesn’t like to smile in her selfies, not sure why…).
Sometimes this mom works too hard so she stops at the spa to get a foot or head massage, because you know, stress is not good for her face and she needs to age gracefully.
She usually gets a mani-pedi twice a week to ensure that her nails are always as fabulous as they should be.
Oh! And when she cooks or cleans the house, her nails are so fabulous that they don’t even crack.
Grocery shopping and cooking
Now don’t go thinking that a fabulous mom-Barbie ignores her kids. This mom makes sure to save time to buy the best organic food for her kids and always schedules a couple of hours per day for cooking fresh meals and desserts (every day!).
She only cooks French cuisine and follows a daily menu to make sure that her kids never eat leftovers at any point in their lives (God forbid), because leftovers is not what fabulous people eat (and don’t even ask about fast food or any kinds of food delivery service, she doesn’t even know they exist).
Just like everything else in her house, the wardrobe is simply fabulous. She has a walk-in closet, with at least 150 pairs of shoes, 320 bags, 270 scarves… And I stopped counting the rest because there was too much of everything.
I’m still unclear on when exactly she gets the time to clean her house, as her days seem to be allocated for polishing herself, but I can testify that the house is immaculately clean and shiny as she showed me some pictures. The floor in her house is so clean, a germophobe could lick it and not have to worry about a thing.
This is very unusual for a house with three young kids.
I asked her about her secret to keeping everything in order at home and she told me that her kids play with only one toy at a time, and that they put their toys back where they belong, before taking a new one. She also explained that each child was in charge of tidying his own bed and room, and doing their own laundry.
Her kids are the best. They are polite, they say thank you, they finish their meals, they clean up their rooms, and they do their homework on their own. In short, they are your dream kids. It seems to me that she never has to repeat herself or even show any sort of anger. Maybe these kids respect their mom’s wish of aging gracefully and they make sure to make it come true by avoiding any unnecessary stress. Aren’t they fabulous?
The secret of this fabulous mom is very simple: She doesn’t exist.
Yeah… I thought you figured it out by now.
